An enchantress seeking to further her mastery of magic, and to find out what happened to her father.
Bec is an enchantress. She has joined the SPI to learn more magic, and to find out what happened to her father.
Rules
- [2nd] Enchantment Savant
- [2nd] Hypnotic Gaze
- [6th] Instinctive Charm
- [10th] Split Enchantment
- [14th] Alter Memories
Tapestry of Fate
Prevailing truth (Arcana, History, Nature, Religion). The tree of infinite possibility appears before you, you see branches which must be eliminated—and a powerful truth remains.
Soul-Extended Contingency
Bec and Cassandra may cooperatively cast Contingency (Age of Freedom edition), targeting a creature other than Bec herself, provided the three of them are spiritually bonded, wearing attuned SPI badges, and maintaining an open channel with one another during the full 10-minute casting.
- Bec consumes a 6th level spell slot (Contingency), Cassandra a 5th level one (Cassandra’s Soul Extension).
- As per usual with the Age of Freedom edition of Contingency, the 1,500gp statuette of the target is a focus rather than a consumed component, glowing faintly while the contingency is active on that person.
- Additionally: the spell being made contingent may be cast by another spiritually bonded agent in cooperation, rather than Bec herself, but all involved parties (that spellcaster, Bec, Cassandra, and the recipient) must all be present and spiritually bonded, wearing attuned SPI badges, and the recipient must be holding their statuette.
- The spell otherwise functions identically to Contingency, including the 10-day duration.
- The Contingency ends early if the bearer’s badge is removed, destroyed, or loses attunement, or if the statuette is destroyed or dispelled, or if the Contingency is otherwise triggered or dispelled.

Merfolk Spellbook
This Enduring Spellbook made from kelp contains the following spells:
| Spell | Level | School | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Color Spray | 1 | Trans | Age of Zas |
| Dancing Lights | 1 | Trans | Age of Zas |
| Dowsing Strike | 1 | Div [Water] | Age of Zas (rare!) |
| Fog Cloud | 2 | Trans [Air] | Age of Zas |
| Swimstrider | 1 | Trans [Water] | Age of Zas (rare!) |
GM notes:
- Dowsing Strike functions like 3E’s True Strike, except that it only works underwater. (The Age of Freedom True Strike was actually created by an enterprising wizard who adapted this merfolk spell!)
- Swimstrider functions like AD&D2E’s Expeditious Retreat, except that instead of working on land speed, it works underwater for swim speed.
- Most of this book’s spells are in the transmutation school, which differs from the school of later versions of these spells.
- I haven’t yet adapted the spells in this spellbook to 5E, but don’t let that stop you from casting them!
