Solving problems, one by one

I am tackling the worries I complained about earlier!

The Athlon XP 3000+ I ordered that turned out to be an XP 2100+ actually ended up being a 3000+ after all. All I had to do was flash the motherboard BIOS. Yay! But Anna can still invite only two Sims to a party, and the CPU runs at 72C under load. She says the game performs better, though, which is what really matters.

I ordered a new pump to replace the broken one in my basement utility closet—hopefully it will arrive by the end of the week. And I swapped the pump’s collector for a larger bucket. I still have to empty the bucket twice a day, but haven’t had any overflow.

I ran the joint session of Deus Ultionis last night, and it went pretty well. We didn’t finish everything, but I felt comfortable declaring that the next session in late January would be another joint one, to finish the plot arc. I have also calmed down about the gestalt game. It helps that I have a nearly two-month break coming up before resuming Deus.

Jessie pointed out to me that World Financial Group, formerly World Marketing Alliance, is a very shady company. I am going to have to back out of my impending agreement with them. Gary Ziegler seems like a nice guy (and he’s one of the top 25 producers of the Financial Division), but there are just too many warning flags around the company. (Sorry, Moe.) I have another financial specialist with whom I can speak and in whom I am willing to place a lot more trust. I will call him and set up an appointment soon!

Lastly, thanks to everyone who commented on my Worries post. I appreciate the different perspectives.
