- Emotions are stupid. Yesterday, I was in a fairly bad mood due to all the stuff I have on my plate, both at home and at work. Today, all of those same things are still hanging over my head, and I feel pretty great. Maybe it’s because my brother is awesome and is taking care of one of my biggest stress factors (bringing in my broken portable hard drive for data recovery). Or maybe it’s because I got 11 hours of sleep; who knows? But I have considered how nice it might be to be able to toggle emotions off, or even remove them completely (for you Deus people, Merlin Huntington felt the same way, believing his own conscience to be holding him back from maximal achievement, and so performed a little creative mental surgery on himself to eliminate it—part of me is envious).
- It seems my eye twitch is a permanent fact of life at this point. It hasn’t gotten much better or worse, but is still often present at work. Now the muscles in the right half of my face are a lot stronger than those in the left, which is odd. I can usually ignore it completely at this point, although it is still occasionally distracting.
- I hate Kid Rock so much. He was born in Michigan ; why the hell is he in love with the goddamn south? I think it’s hilarious that the Republicans canceled his performance at a pre-inauguration youth concert for President Bush due to the profanity and sexual innuendo in his lyrics (“pimpin’ Barbra Bush”).
- As of a few days ago, the Mountain Dew tower is complete. It took a while longer since I have been heavily cutting down.
- There was something else, but in the process of writing the above I have forgotten. I hope you have enjoyed me wasting your time!
