Xela is the queen of the gnomes of Midgard, and is more frequently called Queen Moreta in that capacity. She has been alive for centuries, and is often deeply involved in important world affairs. Her personality ranges from cold and serious when engaged in diplomatic situations, to exhibiting a childlike glee when discussing matters of interest, particularly magic and magical objects. Her marriage to Gerald, king of the dwarves, unified the dwarven/gnomish kingdom of Midgard after centuries of war.
