Drawing animated illusions with his crayons, he explained that the clock would explode catastrophically if its mystical core were damaged, then reconnected the clock to its core, revealing it had stopped at exactly 12 o’clock. Over lunch, he told the agents the story of Mungus, Gurin and the almost-kings.
