Freki Sarin

Freki is a bounty hunter who venerates nature and despises magic. He prowls the Selva, seeking prey.

Animal instinct (Survival). You smell emotions, even as they fade, and can even track people by the “emotional trail” they leave.

- The ground in a 20-foot radius centered on the arrow’s point of impact twists and sprouts hard spikes and thorns. The area becomes difficult terrain for the duration. When a creature moves into or within the area, it takes 2d4 piercing damage for every 5 feet it travels.

3	purple blossom	DC 14 dex or 8d6 acid + 4d6/round for one minute
3	snapper saw	Internal explosion - 6d6 immediate, 1d6 bleed/round, full round to carefully remove, or 6d6 dmg to rip out immediately as bonus action.
3	dew drinker	Opposed athletics or acrobatics vs freki’s attack roll; failure means 3d6 necrotic, absorbed into the tendril. can recover and eat it later for temp HP.
3	blinding mummy dust	On impact, blinding dust and sand erupts and swirls around the target. That creature, and each creature within 5 feet of it, must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of the creature’s next turn.
1	arrow of dreadful glare	Targets within 5’ of arrow’s flight path must make a Wis DC 16 or be frightened for 1 minute. Upon hit, target must make a Con DC 16 or be paralyzed for 3 rounds.
2	arrows of acid nats	On impact, a swarm of acid nats erupts from the arrow shaft, relentlessly burning and biting that creature. At the start of each of the creature’s turns, it takes 6 (1d6 + 3) acid damage and loses 5 (1d4 + 3) hit points due to blood loss. Bloodless creatures are immune to this blood loss. Creatures with bad-tasting blood are only affected once. In either of those cases, the nat swarm moves on to the next closest target.

[L2] Animal friendship. Cast as a ritual – takes 5 minutes to bond with an animal. Animal must be neutral or friendly to initiate.
[L2] Speak with animals. Requires concentration – uses an action each round of use.
[L3] Swift shot. As a bonus action, draw and fire an arrow at -4 penalty.
[L5] Beast sense. You use your action to transfer your consciousness to Hugin or Munin. You see through its eyes, and hear what it hears for up to 1 hour, while becoming oblivious to your own usual sight and hearing. Another action returns you to your own body.
[L7] Hunter’s mark. Once per short rest – but note it can be thrown again if first target dies.
[L9] Amphibious nature. Cursed by aboleths, redeemed by Pelor.
[L11] Speak with plants.
[L13] Regeneration. You regain 1 hit point at the start of each of your turns (10 hit points each minute). Severed body members (fingers, legs, tails, and so on), if any, are restored after 2 minutes. If you have the severed part and hold it to the stump, the spell instantaneously causes the limb to knit to the stump.

Hugin and Munin

Freki is bonded to the twin mystic ravens Hugin and Munin *. They are loyal to Freki but not beholden to him. Supernatural, of unknown origin.
