Elder of the Stormherd tribe of yak-folk, and a powerful diviner. As he approached death, he concocted a plot to create and steal a weapon made of Karach, the only substance known to resist the Flux. With the help of spiritual essence from the slain Manufeai tribe, along with the powers of his earth genie Zanqaa the Devoted, he transformed himself into a monstrous entity. The SPI slew him, but the stain of the Flux persists on the grounds where the events took place.

Ancient yikarian diviner and leader of the Stormherd, received in a pavilion with a four-post bed, a spell book and a scrying pool. His nefarious intentions became clear, and Bec realized he had orchestrated Kavaki’s possession, watching through his pool. When the agents tried to flee, he pulled the Flux Capacitor from under his pillow (“Behold the union of the elements!”) and moved to break it.

Broke the Flux Capacitor even as Cal made it fade from reality, then used his genie’s final wish to retrieve it from before its destruction. He grew into a monstrous, many-headed abomination, sprouting first “sane” and then “insane” heads and crushing his own guards, until the agents destroyed him in an explosion of guts, blood and chaotic magic.
